RAIN OUT/CANCELLATION

Rain Delay
A rain delay is when the game is officially delayed. Play will continue later that day/night. Tickets cannot be exchanged in the event of a rain delay.

Rain Out/Cancellation
A rainout is when a game is cancelled due to rain. When this happens, the game is usually rescheduled into a double header the next time the two teams meet. In the event of a rainout, tickets can be exchanged at the box office window for the same price admission to any regular season game, played at GCS Credit Union Ballpark, during this season, based on availability, with the exception of the Greatest Night in Baseball.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN IT RAINS

If it is raining before the game...

If it is raining before the start of a game the umpires will determine it if play can continue. This being the case, if the rain stops before the scheduled start time, the game will continue as planned. If the rain continues into the scheduled game time, Grizzlies management, the umpires and team managers will invoke a rain delay.

If it begins to rain during the game...

If it begins to rain during the game, chances are the game will continue until deemed too hazardous. At this time, the Grizzlies staff will work with the opposing team's managers, along with local weather outlets, to ascertain the immediate weather outlook. If the teams feel that the inclement weather will pass, a rain delay is put into effect. If the teams agree that the inclement weather will not pass in a reasonable amount of time, an official rainout is announced.

If a rainout is declared after four and a half innings of baseball have been played, and the home team is winning, a game is considered "official". In this case, there will be no ticket exchanges.

If the game is suspended before the amount of innings have been played for an official game, your ticket is valid for an exchange to any future home game, during this season, based on availability, with the exception of 4th of July and The Greatest Night in Baseball.
