Garrett is originally from Salem, Illinois where he grew up around the game of baseball. Garrett attended Lincoln Trail College to play collegiate golf. He then graduated with a Bachelors in Sport Management from the University of Southern Indiana. In his first year with the Grizzlies, he was a Stadium Operations intern. Then, in 2022 he became the Director of Team Apparel and Merchandise.
