Bio

Terry McClure is in his second season with the Grizzlies in 2018. Gateway's third-leading hitter last with a .295 batting average, McClure finished second on the club with 21 extra-base hits. He also swiped 14 bases in 18 tries.

McClure finished the season on a tear. Over his final 19 games (from Aug. 5 onward), he hit .397 (27-for-68) with a home run, four doubles, 10 RBIs, and nine runs. He also featured in one of the most dramatic moments of Gateway's season: On June 17, with the Grizzlies down to their final strike and trailing by two runs in the 11th inning, McClure hit a three-run, walk-off homer to beat Traverse City.

The Atlanta, Ga., native spent four years in the Rockies' organization after Colorado drafted him in the eighth round of the 2013 MLB Draft out of Riverwood High School. McClure played his entire first season of professional baseball at 17 years old. He's already playing his sixth season of pro ball in 2018, and he won't turn 23 until the end of September.

During his time in the minor leagues, Terry tallied a career batting average of .240 and an on-base percentage of .328. He produced 160 hits in 196 games.
