MOLESKY EARNS SECOND PITCHER OF THE WEEK AWARD FOR 2017

SAUGET, Ill. -- Grizzlies' right-hander Vince Molesky has earned Frontier League "Pitcher of the Week" honors for the second time this season.

 

Vince pitched a complete game shutout last Friday night against the Normal CornBelters at GCS Credit Union Ballpark, giving up just five hits through all nine innings of work. He did not walk a batter and he picked up nine strikeouts on the night. It was his third career complete game shutout.

 

Vince has racked up 96 strikeouts (4th in Frontier League) this season and his 3.89 ERA currently ranks 17th in the league.

 

His next start is scheduled for Wednesday, August 23rd against the Southern Illinois Miners.
