Blake Brown signed with the Grizzlies in April 2015 after spending a trio of seasons in the Atlanta Braves' system. Brown most recently played with the Lynchburg Hillcats (High-A), where he drove in 17 runs and swiped 9 bases in 50 games during 2014.

Prior to playing in the minors, Brown spent three years at the University of Missouri. He smacked 11 home runs during his time in Mizzou's program. The Braves selected the Bloomington, Ill. native in the fifth round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He ultimately played with three different teams in Atlanta's organization.
