Tanner was selected by the Grizzlies in the 2017 Frontier League Draft.
The right-handed hurler was previously selected in the 26th round of the 2013 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.
Cable finished his college baseball career with Belhaven University in Jackson, MS.
Through two seasons with Belhaven, Cable racked up an outstanding 9-2 record in 16 starts, including a 2.29 ERA and 130 career strikeouts in 102.1 innings pitched.
He served as team captain at Belhaven University.
