Bio
The Grizzlies acquired Massoni, 23, on June 26, 2015 in a trade with the Lake Erie Crushers for a PTBNL. Massoni played in eight games with Lake Erie in 2015 and previously spent two seasons in the San Francisco Giants organization.
The Danville, CA native was drafted by the Giants in the 33rd round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He reached A-ball in 2014, hitting .255 with 11 doubles in 44 games.
Massoni spent his junior season at Austin Peay State University after beginning his collegiate career at Chabot College in Hayward, CA.
